Relenter, a quartet from Champaign/Urbana Illinois, formed as a collaboration of rock and synth influenced musicians. Merging rock guitar and haunting piano melodies over synth landscapes and live drums, Relenter has created a variety of soulful, energetic, and moody alternative songs across acoustic, rock, synth, and blues moods.
Such is evident on their 2nd studio album, Comfort of my Dreams (CoMD). An introspective collection of songs, CoMD delves into themes of life & loss, societal pressures, and the changes of time, but lyrically maintains a shred of optimism. Relenter is highlighted by Chris Parker (vocals/guitar/bass/piano/keys/strings), Robert Martz (piano/keys), Adam Tufano (guitar/bass), and Kenny Flores (drums). CoMD features songs such as The Answer, Faded Lines, Crash and Burn, and Scarred, as well as the title track.
